Are you organised, reliable, and looking to play a key role behind the scenes in a busy workshop environment? A well-established company in the Salisbury area is seeking a proactive Workshop Stores Person to support its Workshop Manager and technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for keeping operations running smoothly. Whether you’re already experienced in a parts department or looking to step into a new challenge with training and support, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Handling all incoming and outgoing workshop stock (Goods In/Goods Out)
Sourcing and ordering parts to support the workshop team
Maintaining accurate digital records and inventory systems
Liaising with suppliers, consultants, and internal departments
Supporting purchasing and processing of purchase orders
Helping to organise and develop stores areas for both general and electrical parts
Coordinating paperwork and requests for fuel, plant hire, hydraulic hoses, tyres, and more
Using software systems to ensure smooth logistics and traceability
What We’re Looking For:
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (training on internal systems provided)
Organised, conscientious, and deadline-driven
Excellent communication and telephone manner
Confidence working with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
Full UK driving licence required
Forklift experience preferred, certification desirable, but training can be arranged
Previous experience in a parts department is a plus, but not essential.
