Due to growth, we have an exciting new opportunity now available for an experienced, dedicated account manager to join a high skilled technical team based at their offices in Salisbury.
The main purpose of the role will be: to contact and engage with customers to deliver an effective service which will in turn maximise the sales potential as you will work in a proactive manner to develop relations, spot upselling and cross selling opportunities, handle quotes and diarise follow up contact. Whilst it is essential that you can manage the delivery of each customer, another key ingredient for this role is to find a candidate who has a driven approach and can equally be active when it comes to identifying openings in the wider market in a pro-active manner.
In time, we envisage this role becoming a Department manager role as a long term plan includes adding further account management support as the business builds. Some previous man management credentials would be a huge advantage to have but the important factor at this point is to ensure external clients are nurtured and well catered for and therefore we are looking for at least 3+ years of good account management experience, preferably within a technical or engineering capacity.
Due to our client's established and valued reputation in the market, this role will prove quite demanding at times which requires a cool head able to react and prioritise each requirement.
