We have a new vacancy now available for a career driven Project Manager working within the Construction, Engineering space
In this role, you will be responsible for the project management of some major contracts across our client's UK wide portfolio. We would welcome some form of Construction or Engineering/Technical background but on top of that, we require someone who has a proactive approach to work, someone motivated to build relations and identify new possibilities in a rather exciting marketplace.

There will be some line management involved in the role but the two employees who will assist you with administration, communications are experienced and focused on delivering to a high level.
Primary purpose of the role: To work closely with the Technical Director (TD) and General Manager (GM), taking responsibility for the major works on projects across a UK wide portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
Responsible for the project management of the major projects
Coordinating with the Technical, Design, Operations departments
Liaise with customers in relation to tendering opportunities, technical and specification issues
Use effective and efficient use of resources to ensure that all necessary actions and functions are carried out
Constantly review system & procedures in order to improve effectiveness and reduce waste
Ensure that incoming project enquiries are handled in a timely manner
Oversee that the CRM system and reluctant logs are updated in a timely manner
Identify new projects at the earliest of stages, this will require liaising with the Business Development Manager and TD
Prepare Project Tenders - Interpreting customer drawings and written specifications.
Liaising with the TD and others to determine the best solution for the customer's request
Reviewing and understanding specific Terms & Conditions of purchase for projects ensuring they are acceptable to engage in contract negotiations
Work closely with the TD & GM in regards to attending exhibitions, the organisation and management of internal activity and to spend time with clients where needs be on site or at the office Headquarters
Essential skills to succeed in this role:
Mechanical or Technical engineering bias or background
Experience of Project Management
Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word)
A confident communicator and ability to ask questions
Team orientated
Excellent attention to detail
Willingness to learn absorb technical information
Manage relationships with clients
The role is primarily based at the headquarters in Salisbury. However the role comes with a company car, meaning there will be occasional sight visits to see projects evolve.
